This Professional Approaches Life and Business With an
Unwavering Belief in Integrity and Duty.

Some experiences in life define us. For Steve Crime, one of them was completing the rigorous training regimen at the elite Army Jump School at Fort Benning, Georgia. “I was never so proud as when I stood on stage and received my jump wings,” he says. The son of a career military man, Steve derived from that experience a much enhanced appreciation for the lessons his father had taught him—mainly, the primary importance of duty, discipline and integrity.

Those values were instilled even more deeply during his subsequent career in the Navy. After being selected for a special exchange program with the Japanese Naval Academy and serving as a student Naval Flight Officer at Pensacola, Steve was assigned to a squadron aboard the aircraft carrier USS EISENHOWER. Ultimately, reflecting his demonstrated commitment to duty, Steve was posted to the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations in the Pentagon.

One of Steve’s favorite hobbies is building ship models, which he assembles with meticulous care.

A Code to Live By

“The military definitely reinforced the values I was brought up with,” Steve declares, noting that regulating all conduct in military life is a traditional code of honor built around integrity, as well as discipline and duty. “You learn to live by it,” he says. “The bottom line for me is that when you commit yourself to do something, you get it done.” He adds that “in all I do, I try to remember that actions speak louder than words. That’s why following through is so important to me.” Inevitably and indelibly, this code of honor became central to Steve’s life.

Enriching Influence

When he’s not following through for clients or others to whom he’s made a commitment, Steve delights in moments spent with his wife, Mary-Jane. Passionate about the capital’s rich and varied performing-arts scene, they attend the opera, symphony or theater almost every week. Travel is another favorite pastime. Invoking the experiences of childhood and his own military career, Steve mentions the enriching influence of visiting and living in other parts of the world. “Meeting and learning to know people from different cultures opens up your mind and gives you a broader perspective,” he says. When Steve has spare moments at home, you’ll often find him working on a meticulously detailed ship model—the type of project that typically takes months to complete.

Real Estate Code of Honor

Reflecting a set of core values, this dedicated professional has a well-defined sense of how real estate should be done. Steve calls it his “real estate code of honor.” Its tenets are rooted in his military career, business dealings and life experience. They emphasize integrity, openness and follow-through. They also inspire confidence and reduce stress for each of his clients. The operative word is trust. When you work with Steve, you can trust him to deliver on every commitment while keeping your best interests foremost in mind throughout the process.

Longtime devotees of live theater, Steve and Mary-Jane sometimes attend more than one performance in a week.

Consider It Done

Armed with his professional code of honor, Steve works with consistent integrity for clients in the Washington DC Metro area. Aware that every transaction has its own personality, he listens attentively to each client, formulates a unique plan of action, then pursues it aggressively. “I’m not going to sit around and wait for something to happen,” he declares. “I’m going to get out there and make it happen!” The bottom line for this Realtor®: When Steve says he’ll do something, he does it!

If it’s time to sell or buy a condo, townhouse or single-family home in and around the Washington DC Metro area, turn to a businessman whose sense of duty will be reflected in every facet of the transaction.
